Unreal city: an exhibition featuring Carlo D'Orta and Claudio
De Micheli to be staged at Studio Transit Architettura of Rome
(via Morosini Trastevere, 26 and 27 May 2012)
On Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 May, the prestigious Studio Transit
Architettura of Rome, in partnership with the Romberg Arte Contemporanea
gallery, will host a duo-exhibition featuring architectural photographs
by Carlo D'Orta and Claudio De Micheli (winner of the Premio Arte
Mondadori 2010 within the photography section). This exhibition,
which has been supervised by Italo Bergantini and Alessandro Trabucco,
features about 30 photographs by the two artists. According to
Alessandro Trabucco, "
Carlo D'Orta and Claudio De Micheli
seem to convey a filtered reality...It looks as if an electronic
eye intercepts reality's energy streams and levels of chromatism
without any formal redundancy, while focusing on both physical
and dream-related aspects...In this way, reality is transfigured,
recreated or even transformed into a sheer visual sensation. Here
is the (un)real city ...".
